OVERVIEW
The Dinthill Cadet Unit is 53 years and 6 mths old. Throughout these years the unit has trained and produced many prominent citizens, and leaders who have and still are making significant contributions to our country's development in various sectors.

The Unit has an establishment of two platoons and a Drum Corp. The present strength of the unit is 1 Officer, 2 Adult Sergeants and 74 cadets.

The following is an outline of the present Rank structure of the 74 enlisted members.

OUR MISSION
The Dinthill Cadet Unit is determined to improve and maintain the discipline of our youths, while teaching them valuable survival skills, designed to help them make smooth and successful transistions to adulthood and simultaneously providing them with an avenue to develop their leadership capabilities, appreciate the value of team work and to instill within each a sense of service and national pride.

Brief History........
The Jamaica Combined Cadet
Force (J.C.C.F.) was formed in November 1943 by Colonel Michael Ralph Decardova. By the end of that year Cadet Units were formed in 16 different schools, colleges and training centres. Dinthill Technical High School is a part of the Charlie Company Sixth Battalion of the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force. One of its objectives is to instill mental, moral and physical training to the youth, so as to make a good start in life.
